Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra Enhances Ties in Iran Visit


Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra visited Iran on 26th November with focus on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional challenges. The visit included the 18th India-Iran Foreign Office Consultations with counterpart Ali Bagheri, where discussions spanned various aspects of bilateral ties and regional perspectives.

 

During the trip, Kwatra called on Iran's Foreign Minister, H. Amir-Bbdollahian, to discuss bilateral matters and connectivity projects, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Chabahar port. Both sides expressed a commitment to bolstering cooperation.

 

Another significant meeting involved discussions with Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Mehdi Safari, focusing on India's role in developing the Chabahar port and exploring opportunities for increased trade and investment ties.
