India's enduring impact on the India-Saudi Arabia relationship is evident through historic visits, the declaration of a 'Strategic Partnership' in 2010, and economic collaborations, notably in the energy sector. The establishment of the Strategic Partnership Council in 2019 solidifies India's role in shaping bilateral ties. Cultural contributions, such as participation in the Janadriyah festival and promoting yoga, showcase India's distinctive influence. Additionally, India's proactive role during the COVID-19 pandemic highlights its commitment to making a positive impact on Saudi Arabia.


Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, discussing their bilateral Strategic Partnership and outlining a future collaboration agenda. They addressed shared concerns over West Asia's terrorism and violence, emphasising the need for peace and stability. Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's stance on the Israel-Palestine issue and called for continued humanitarian aid. The leaders also highlighted maritime security, freedom of navigation, and exchanged greetings on Saudi Arabia hosting Expo 2030 and FIFA Football World Cup 2034, committing to ongoing communication for sustained collaboration.


The discussions outlined a forward-looking agenda for future collaboration, emphasising peace and stability.
