India-EU Trade and Technology Council Advances Collaborations in Virtual Summit

In a virtual session on 24 November 2023, India and the EU convened for the Trade and Technology Council (TTC). Chaired by Indian ministers and European executives, the meeting assessed progress in working groups established during the inaugural Ministerial meeting in May 2023. Discussions focused on strategic technologies, clean energy, and resilient supply chains. The co-chairs expressed contentment with advancements, particularly in semiconductors, high-performance computing, and EV batteries. An MoU on semiconductors was signed, aiming to enhance the value chain's resilience through research and innovation. Both parties committed to intensive stakeholder consultations before the next TTC meeting, scheduled alongside the India-EU Summit early next year.
