India and Singapore: Fostering Robust Relations

India's External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar's visit to Singapore from 18-21 October, 2023 highlighted key bilateral engagements and discussions with prominent Singaporean leaders. EAM's meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong emphasized enhancing collaboration in various sectors, including Fintech, Digitalization, Green economy, Skills development, and Food security. 

Additionally, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan’s meeting with Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen underscored the commitment to further fortify the existing defence engagement between the two nations.

Further discussions with Trade & Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong explored new avenues for collaboration, while talks with Home Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam focused on reinforcing the partnership in various domains.
