India and Marshall Islands: A New Chapter in Bilateral Relations

Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs and Education, led a significant visit to the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) from October 19-20. This marked the first Ministerial level visit from India to RMI in the last five years. During the visit, the Minister engaged in crucial diplomatic meetings, including a courtesy call on Iroij Jimata Kabua, Chairman of the Council of Iroij, and discussions with Acting President Wilbur Heine, along with several Cabinet Ministers representing various key portfolios. 


Bilateral discussions with Jack Ading, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, focused on reviewing the comprehensive spectrum of the bilateral relationship, with a specific emphasis on the ongoing development partnership between the two nations. The active participation of the Minister in a Yoga Session further emphasized the promotion of cultural exchange and local engagement, strengthening the bond between the two nations. 


This visit serves as a significant milestone in strengthening the diplomatic ties and mutual cooperation between India and the Republic of Marshall Islands, marking a new phase in their diplomatic relations.
